Sport for Development charity Active Communities Network sign partnership as ‘Global Charitable Partners’ with Club Fit For Business – an award winning global sports business community.
The launch took place with a signing and photocall at world-famous Oval Cricket Ground in London, helped by Active Communities Network and 5 Star Active ambassador, Team GB weightlifter Jo Calvino
Club Fit For Business was founded by former professional rugby player and now Dubai based businessman, Liam Mooney.
Club Fit For Business, is a non-profit global sports business community running events at various locations across the world.
Oval Cricket Ground London, England – Wednesday 10 June 2015: Internationally-renowned weightlifter Jo Calvino presented a new global partnership between Sport for Development Charity Active Communities Network (ACN) and its international 5 Star Active partnership with Club Fit For Business – an award winning global sports business community – at the world-famous Oval Cricket Ground in Central London today.
The partnership will see the two not-for-profits become Global Charitable Partners, aligning their ambassadors which include footballers Jason Roberts and Rio Ferdinand, jockey Hayley Turner, rugby players Neil Clark, Apollo Perelini and Pedrie Wannenberg, adventurer Elin Haf Davies, sailor Ian Walker, boxer Roy Gumbs and many others, to expand their networks and promote their work across the globe using sport to provide opportunities for disadvantaged young people and communities across the world.
Active Communities Network currently work across the UK/Ireland, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa and further afield with the new partnership tapping into the Club Fit For Business networks in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East – and vice versa.
The long-term partnership aims to raise the awareness of both organisations’ work and maximise opportunities available to those individuals, communities and organisations who they work with.
